By the Glass Imports was born from a promise to honor a mentor and a legacy. The journey began in the vineyards, not as a solo endeavor, but as a continuation of a dream shared with a beloved mentor—a wine icon whose passion for the craft was matched only by his generosity in sharing it.
A Dream
Our founder, was fortunate to learn the art and business of wine from one of the industry's greats. Under the guidance of this mentor, he absorbed the nuances of selecting, tasting, and curating wines that not only taste exceptional but also tell a story of place and tradition. When his mentor tragically passed away due to COVID-19, he felt a deep calling to keep his spirit alive through the work they had started together.

By the Glass Imports doesn’t just import wines; we partner with small production family wineries to create unique wine brands tailored for the American market. Each brand we create is a collaboration—a blend of the winery’s traditional methods and our understanding of what American wine lovers seek. But there’s one rule we never break: We will never create and import a brand that we wouldn’t be proud to drink in our own home with our family.
